PPGMEC in the XLV CILAMCE
Researchers from the PPGMEC and the Center of Excellence in Hydrogen and Sustainable Energy Technologies (CEHTES) participated in the XLV CILAMCE
Researchers from the Graduate Program in Mechanical Engineering (PPGMEC) at UFG and the Center of Excellence in Hydrogen and Sustainable Energy Technologies (CEHTES) participated in the 45th edition of the Ibero-Latin American Congress on Computational Methods in Engineering (CILAMCE), held from November 12 to 15, 2024, in Maceió, Alagoas.
The event, one of the most prominent in the field of computational methods applied to engineering, brought together academics and professionals from around the world to discuss innovations and scientific advancements in the area. Researchers from PPGMEC and CEHTES organized the mini-symposium Developments and Applications of Wind Energy and Renewable Energy and presented significant studies addressing topics such as numerical simulation of complex flows, modeling of coupled problems, and advanced methods in structural analysis.
Among the highlights, the studies presented practical applications in sectors such as renewable energy, ventilation systems for small-scale wind power generation facilities, and fluid-structure interaction analysis in urban contexts. Their participation underscores PPGMEC and CEHTES's commitment to academic excellence and international collaboration in cutting-edge research.
In addition to technical presentations, the 45th CILAMCE offered a valuable opportunity for knowledge exchange and the building of collaborative networks among researchers, fostering the development of new solutions to complex engineering challenges.
The active participation of UFG researchers reaffirms the university's role as a hub for innovation and high-impact research, standing out as one of Brazil's leading institutions in the field of computational methods.
